Species profile
Horus Swift
Apus horus
Quick answer
REMARK. — Reported for W National Park (Balanca et al. 2007), but not further considered as present in Burkina Faso. The species has a mainly western and southern African distribution, but in 2018 a colony was unexpectedly found and carefully documented in northern Senegal (Piot & Bacuez 2021), so further research in Burkina Faso are warranted.
