occurs in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil. The Brazilian subspecies A. c. correndera occurs in southern Paraguay, northern Argentina, Uruguay and extreme southern Brazil (Tyler, 2004). In Brazil, there are records for RS throughout the year, where it breeds (Belton, 1985; Maurício et al., 2013), and for SC in June, September and October (Azevedo & Ghizoni-Jr., 2005; WikiAves, 2016).
